Happy 6 months Mr. Cameron

Who is this little man, and where did my baby go?

Cameron is learning, exploring & wrapping us a tighter around his little fingers.

He had his 6 month check up on the 27th.

Yes, I've been a bad blogger, I confess.

It's been a lot harder than I anticipated.

Believe you me, there are plenty of pictures & stories to share.

Getting time to actually update his blog is a whole other story.

But, you're always welcome to come visit & see our little man in person. ;)

I'll even bakes some cookies.

How's that for an open invitation?

At Mr. Cameron's check up he weighed 17.25 lbs (CHUCK) & 26.25 inches long .

As you can see jar food has been a huge hit.

Cameron's favorites include (so far) peas, green beans, squash, pears, fresh bananas (yes, fresh. I have to squish fresh bananas for the king because jar is unacceptable), fresh avocado and watermelon.

How does he eat the fresh watermelon?

Well, some smarty pants came up w/the idea of netted "pacifier" contraption.

You're able to snap it open, insert fruit and snap close.

Why, can't I think of a multi-million dollar idea? Even a thousand dollar idea would suffice.

~Along with working on his Buddha belly, Cameron also loves to clap.

Even if he's a tad grumpy, a little YAY! will get him going. So cute.

~Thankfully, he's not Mr. Grumpy Pants that often. He (WE) survived his first tooth. That stubborn tooth finally broke through. His one tooth grin is priceless.

~I hope this doesn't jinx anything but, for the past couple of nights he's slept through the night. For awhile he would wake up (if we were lucky) once for a bottle. But, he's finally gone to bed by 8 & waking up as late as 7:30!

~He's becoming a PLOP! champion. Rolling over & not automatically crying. It's the little things that count too.

~For about a week, he's been pushing & scooting around the carpet. Poor Oscar & Sadie. They have no idea what's in store.

~He's getting bolder & stronger with sitting up. He not only sits up but leans over for objects.

To be perfectly honest my baby is nosey. He's nosey just like his mama & makes me love him more. You can't pass by an object without him grabbing for it or stretching his neck out to see his surroundings. I've yet to get that on camera but trust me, cuteness overload.

Once, while in the produce at Target he grabbed a plastic bottle of lemon juice. He held onto that little bottle until we got to the check out. The employee was pretty impressed & laughed.

~That brings us to his next attribute. He's Mr. Social. I believe that's how the clapping caught on.

"Oh. If I clap it makes the ladies swoon. *CLAP* *CLAP*"

~He's definitely found his voice. He's been practicing is voice range. Usually he keeps it on LOUD. The first time he realized it could reach the pitch of ear ringing, I panicked. I thought he was in pain, so I lifted him out of the Jumperoo.....and he laughed. Oh really?

~Giving kisses. He loves to grab your face, open mouth & plant a big, fat, juicy one on your cheek, chin, ear, forehead. Basically whatever he can get a hold of.

Yesterday, he decided to give a kiss to one of the little girls at daycare. :/ Too soon, my little chunk, too soon.

~Associates his floatie with swimming. I realized this one a little too late. I left his floatie out & once he saw it he started kicking his legs. It now stays in the closet until we go swimming.

~Holding up his bottle. Again, too soon. Paul loves that he's starting to hold it but in defiance I knock it out of his hand. You need me! Stop it!

~He understands the word "hit". Not in a DONTHITTHEDOG!!! kind of way. We bought a few books with build in balls that squeak. We tell him to "hit it" so the ball will squeak. Now he grabs the books & hits the ball without our coaching.

~We've been working on Sign Language. We started with a few basic words but he's beginning to sign "milk". It doesn't happen every time but he's catching on. :)

Old favorites are still favorites:

~Whistling (Blowing raspberries. Think Party King Julian from Madagascar: Return to Africa)

~Swimming. We go at least twice a week. He loves it so much we don't restrict to just day visits. We'll venture out at night too.)

~Kick-kick-kick!!! Just say the words & his little legs go flailing about.

Old favorites that are still my favorite:

~Watching his face light up when I walk in the room.

~Watching my little fish swim. He kicks the entire time, he's a natural.

~Listening to him "talk" so he doesn't fall asleep, on our way home from daycare.

~Looking back & realizing that he finally talked himself to sleep.

~Spending time with my boys, my family, my loves.

I'm sure there's bits & pieces that I've missed. But I'll end it on that note.

Plus, what's a post with out pics?!

Here are a few (with many more to follow) of Wednesday night.

Just another carefree night full of laughter, drool, kick-kick-kick & funny faces.

See, that naughty tooth (his bottom left)?

Ay, yi, yi love this face.
